Job Description
Senior Consultant, Industrial Advisory
- Assess client operations and identify opportunities to improve business processes and information flow
- Create data pipelines that consolidate information from multiple sources into analytics platforms
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support operational and executive decision-making
- Develop financial models to evaluate capital investments and strategic initiatives
- Support program management activities for innovation initiatives
- Identify opportunities to expand services and deliver additional value to manufacturing clients
Key Responsibilities
- Assess client operations and identify opportunities to improve business processes and information flow
- Design and develop data pipelines that consolidate information from multiple sources into analytics platforms
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support operational and executive decision-making
- Develop financial models to evaluate capital investments and strategic initiatives
- Participate in the development of innovative technology-enabled service delivery models
- Support program management activities for innovation initiatives
- Identify opportunities to expand services and deliver additional value to manufacturing clients
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects
- Attention to detail alongside a commitment to quality and confidentiality
- 4-year degree
- 3 years professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, data science, or data analytics
- 3+ years relevant work experience within manufacturing companies or manufacturing industry consulting
- Detailed understanding of daily operations within manufacturing and distribution companies
- Experience building financial models incorporating income statements and cash flows to support business decisions for industrial companies
- Understanding of inventory and product costing methods and processes preferred
- Experience with core financial processes (e.g. monthly close, financial reporting) of a manufacturing company preferred
- Experience with developing reporting or data analytics integrating manufacturing ERP platforms
- Highly developed skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- 2+ years of experience building data analytics workflows and and data visualizations within leading applications (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)
- Experience in the following technology platforms: Microsoft Excel, Data Visualization Tools, Tableau, Tableau Prep Builder, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud, Tableau Server, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Query, Alteryx, Python, SQL
