About the role

We are seeking an experienced strategy consultant who is currently based in the United States—ideally in Boston or Chicago—or is willing to relocate to one of these locations for approximately six months before transitioning permanently to Bangalore, India. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in building and shaping our growing India team while continuing to work on high-impact, global consulting engagements.

During the initial six-month period in our Boston or Chicago office, the successful candidate will support client delivery, complete onboarding and knowledge transfer, and build strong relationships with colleagues across our global organization. Upon transitioning to India, the individual will help strengthen and expand our Life Sciences practice by providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to a growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to build a long-term consulting career in India, contribute to the development of a high-performing local practice, and remain closely connected to international clients, colleagues, and global consulting opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret data to support pricing and sales strategies, identify opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support various client engagements, including developing presentations, creating financial models, and contributing to client workshops.
  • Prepare compelling presentations and reports for clients, showcasing findings and recommendations in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and creative solutions to address business challenges and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Gain exposure to client interactions by participating in meetings and workshops and contributing to discussions and presentations.
  • Engage in workshops and training sessions to enhance consulting and business acumen, as well as understanding of Simon-Kucher's methodologies.
  • Work closely with project teams to leverage both strategy development and data analysis to solve client business challenges.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive environment that fosters belonging.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-time work experience with an undergraduate degree or 2-year master's degree or Doctoral degree, preferably in consulting, change management, continuous improvement, project management, or functional experience in pricing, market access, marketing, and sales.
  • Excellent quantitative skills with a high level of facility with analytical tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Must be an Indian passport holder currently living in the US.
  • Must be considering relocating to India within the next year.
  • Strong interest in working with global Healthcare & Life Sciences clients.
  • Interested in an international consulting career with long-term growth in India and being part of a growing team.
  • Fluency in English is required to support client-facing communication, stakeholder engagement, and global project delivery.
  • In-office or client presence 3-4 days in alignment with our hybrid working model.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry or life sciences consulting experience with functional experience in pricing, market access, marketing, and growth strategy work for biopharmaceutical, medical device and technology, diagnostics, healthcare IT, healthcare B2B services, consumer health, or digital health clients (preferred).
  • Professional experience in analyzing and solving complex problems, including defining actionable recommendations using well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical).
  • Solid understanding of marketing, pricing, and sales concepts paired with relevant work experience.
  • Record of accomplishment in managing multiple projects, including work plans and deliverables.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork; inclusive and empathetic team member.
  • Some supervisory experience in mentoring and coaching others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused attitude.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay

The 6-month base salary range in the U.S. for this position will be between $62,500 - $75,000. Specific compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and location. Salary ranges are reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with market conditions.
