We are a fast-growing, purpose-driven team at Solici, part of Cambridge Healthcare Research. Our mission is to empower clients to bring groundbreaking therapies to patients worldwide by providing critical insights, analysis, and interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Leading on and successfully delivering client projects, ensuring they are delivered to plan and provide value for clients.
  • Thinking strategically and critically to solve complex problems across a range of proposition and therapeutic areas.
  • Delivering a range of project types with varying levels of complexity, and the planning, design, and facilitation of workshops.
  • Facilitating the growth of existing accounts by regularly maintaining engagement with existing client leads and identifying opportunities to expand the scope of projects.
  • Leading the acquisition of new clients through actively pursuing new client leads.
  • Leading proposals and pitches to convert these into new wins.
  • Leading others - leading, managing, and developing consulting colleagues through effective communication and feedback, supporting personalized development to foster innovation and diverse thinking that adds value for our clients whilst building capabilities and behaviors that enable our people to realize their potential.
  • Line managing junior team members and helping to develop their careers.
  • External engagement - promoting Solici to enhance our strategic decision making and competitive positioning through writing blog articles and attending key events, interacting with a variety of external stakeholders, gaining insights, keeping abreast of industry developments, and developing professional networks.
  • Internal engagement - contributing and supporting internal improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency, delivery rate, and profitability of projects. Shaping Solici and CHR culture for the future through active participation in wider projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • An advanced [Masters or PhD] degree with experience in one or all of the following: Oncology, Immunology, Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic diseases [CVRM], Rare diseases.
  • An experienced life sciences consultant with a proven record or demonstrable ability to lead profitable projects that deliver value for clients.
  • A strong track record of leading new business pitches and winning work.
  • The ability to lead and develop others to deliver high quality outputs and utilize industry expertise.
  • A significant knowledge base to develop impactful and commercially relevant solutions for clients.
  • A balance between scientific background and strong commercial astuteness to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence to develop effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A growth mindset to thrive in a complex and ever-changing environment.
  • A desire to drive innovation and improvement projects that align with CHR's strategic and cultural goals.
