About the role

The Senior Consultant, Compensation role at TVA is seeking a highly customer-focused, process-oriented professional with strong expertise in Compensation strategy and design. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting Union/Represented or Executive roles and hold relevant HR or Compensation certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on design and implementation of compensation strategy to advance TVA’s mission and business results.
  • Understand customer needs and offer guidance and solutions to support the Compensation strategy.
  • Ensure guidance and solutions align with TVA’s total rewards strategy and enable the strategic priorities of the enterprise.
  • Consult and advise HR partners and business leaders on developing people strategies, identifying opportunities for total reward programs.
  • Develop and execute strategies in support of the delivery and administration of M&S, Represented, and Executive compensation functions.
  • Lead planning, communications, change management, and execution of business-facing projects and programs such as the year-end merit cycle, market-based equity adjustments, and market-based grade reviews.
  • Advance stakeholder engagement and support, focusing on tools, resources, education, and training for leaders, employees, and partners within HR.
  • Monitor trends and patterns to identify knowledge gaps, system issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure effective governance and controls of all compensation programs in support of TVA’s SOX standards, GOES framework, and government laws and regulations.
  • Analyze external market trends to inform decisions on enterprise compensation strategy.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of compensation plan design, compliance, and principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality, work in a complex environment, with multiple decision makers, and participate as an effective member of a diverse team.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining governance models.

Skills

  • Strong consulting and technical expertise in Compensation strategy and design.
  • Experience supporting Union/Represented or Executive roles.
  • Relevant HR or Compensation certifications.
