Senior Compensation Consultant
About the role
The Senior Compensation Consultant, reporting to the Executive Director of Total Rewards, is part of the Compensation team that supports over 30,000 Care Team Members (CTM) across South Carolina. This senior team member is responsible for executing key compensation priorities at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to attract, retain and motivate care team members across the health system.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) and managers to provide feedback on compensation strategy, design, implementation, and administration in the areas of job analysis, job evaluation, base pay, variable pay, market pricing, and pay for performance that align to MUSC’s compensation philosophy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation products, delivering timely innovative solutions that support customer and organizational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of work experience in compensation, employment/recruitment, HRIS, or financial/data analysis.
- Previous work experience in administering compensation programs preferred.
- Work experience in a similarly large and complex organization preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills/applications and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and the ability to influence others without formal authority.
- Ability to manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets in conjunction with critical thinking, to solve complex problems.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) through WorldatWork preferred.
Qualifications

Pay
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a scheduled weekly hours of 40 hours per week.
