Senior Construction Project Manager - Major Civil Infrastructure

Cash Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager who wants to lead from the front and build a legacy. This role offers true ownership, allowing you to drive project success from acquisition and pre-construction through execution and close-out, with a focus on safety, quality, profitability, schedule, and client satisfaction. You’ll manage large, high-impact infrastructure projects, influence execution, develop teams, and build lasting client relationships.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for a proven leader with 5-7+ years of project management experience on large civil or utility infrastructure projects, ideally $100M+. The role demands strong field execution, scheduling, financial management, scope management, and project controls, along with the ability to build high-performing teams and earn trust from clients, field leaders, and stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Assure project abides by all environmental safety awareness and compliance.

• Document and communicate project progress, performance, and issues to all stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day direction and oversight of project resources (staff, equipment, subcontractors) and materials.
• Successfully integrate resources, activities, and deliverables as outlined in the Project Execution Plan.
• Own the project budget, cost, forecast, and schedule.
• Manage all contract documents, risks, and changes throughout the project.
• Project Integration Management: Coordinate processes and activities to identify, define, combine, unify, and manage project management activities.
• Project Scope Management: Ensure the project includes all required work and only the required work to complete it successfully.
• Project Time Management: Track and monitor processes to ensure timely project completion.
• Project Cost Management: Collaborate with support and operations teams to manage planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, and cost controls to stay within the approved budget.
• Project Quality Management: Establish and support quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities to meet project needs.
• Project Human Resource Management: Organize, manage, and lead the project team.
• Project Communication Management: Ensure timely and appropriate planning, collection, creation, distribution, storage, retrieval, management, control, monitoring, and disposition of project information.
• Project Risk Management: Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and risk control.
• Project Procurement Management: Acquire products, services, or results from outside the project team, including procurement planning, solicitation, source selection, contract administration, and closeout.
• Project Stakeholder Management: Identify stakeholders, analyze their expectations and impact, and develop strategies for effective engagement in project decisions and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5-7+ years as a Project Manager in heavy civil and/or large-scale utilities construction, including water, wastewater, storm sewer, roadway, and underground utility infrastructure.
• Preferred experience managing projects exceeding $100M in total contract value.
• Proven experience managing large, complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Proficiency in forecasting, cost control, budget ownership, P&L responsibility, and change management.
• Experience coordinating with municipalities, inspectors, engineers, and utility owners.
• Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, MS Suite, MS Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules (CPM), critical path activities, and milestone-driven deliverables.
• Ability to lead and mentor project engineers and assistant project managers while maintaining effective communication with superintendents and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with owners, engineers, and municipal clients.
• Willingness and ability to travel to job sites 60% of the time.

Location & Travel

This is an onsite position with statewide travel. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
