Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
- Provide overall leadership for large-scale federal construction projects, ensuring safe, successful, and efficient execution.
- Manage all phases of construction including planning, execution, scheduling, quality, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout.
- Cook up closely with owners, design teams, subcontractors, field supervision, and client stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Lead project teams while maintaining accountability for safety, schedule, cost, quality, and contractual compliance.
- Oversee construction activities involving structural concrete, heavy concrete, buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and associated civil work.
- Manage subcontractor performance, field coordination, change management, and issue resolution throughout the life of the project.
- Ensure compliance with federal construction requirements, OSHA regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct routine site visits and provide executive-level project reporting to internal leadership and clients.
- Foster strong relationships with clients while representing CEIS | Government with professionalism and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 15 years of construction management experience with a General Contractor.
- Demonstrated experience leading federal construction projects valued at $200 million or greater.
- Experience serving as the primary project leader responsible for delivering projects from award through completion.
- Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, and federal construction practices.
- Extensive experience managing subcontractors, project schedules, budgets, and field operations.
- Hands-on experience with heavy concrete and structural concrete construction.
- Experience working with union labor and union subcontractors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to travel throughout South Carolina and North Carolina as project assignments require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting DOE, DOD, USACE, GSA, or other federal construction programs.
- Experience managing mission-critical, industrial, or highly regulated construction projects.
- PMP, CCM, PE, or other construction management certifications.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex, multi-year construction programs.
