Senior Construction Manager (High Voltage)

This is a remote-based position with travel expected up to 75% as needed to support projects across the United States. The role includes a monthly vehicle allowance and a company-issued pay card to cover approved travel-related expenses.

Our High Voltage Division delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for critical electrical infrastructure across the utility, renewable energy, and industrial markets. Our expertise includes substations, switchyards, and transmission line systems ranging from distribution and medium voltage to extra-high voltage (EHV).

Responsibilities

• Champion and uphold a strong safety and quality-first culture by promoting accountability, compliance, and active employee engagement across all projects.
• Partner with field leadership to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing craft and leadership personnel.
• Build and strengthen client relationships through regular communication, responsiveness, and exceptional project execution.
• Assist Field Ops Manager with resource management; manage resources for your teams and work with counterparts to share resources (manpower, equipment, tooling/fleet).
• Instill company culture into every employee to be the gold standard.
• Coach, mentor, and support Construction Managers and field leaders in their professional development, performance, and career growth.
• Conduct regular project site visits to provide leadership presence, remove obstacles, and positively influence safety, quality, productivity, and team morale.

• Actively participate in weekly project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align project teams on key objectives.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration between clients, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify and develop top performers throughout the organization.
• Provide mentorship and leadership development opportunities for Construction Managers and field supervision personnel.
• Drive project pre-planning efforts to ensure teams are properly prepared with resources, schedules, logistics, and execution strategies.
• Partner with project teams to successfully execute project turnover, commissioning support, and closeout activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management.
• Knowledge and experience with medium and/or high voltage substations, collection systems, and/or transmission lines.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role.

• Ability to demonstrate leadership, motivate workers, and communicate with workers and superiors.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office (email, internet, Excel spreadsheets, documents, photos, and field time entry), as well as PACK Power’s documentation.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines.
• Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math.
