Senior Construction Manager

As a Senior Construction Manager, you will manage the construction and pre-commissioning of assigned sites, representing Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions to customers, PMCs, and partner organizations. This role requires 100% travel to construction sites and supports coordination of site activities across North America.
Responsibilities
- Manage safety, quality, schedule, and cost, including implementation of HSE rules, QAQC standards, and resolution of site non-conformances.
- Ensure construction/installation works meet contract requirements, codes, and Air Liquide standards; support qualification of manufacturing workshops.
- Manage interfaces between disciplines, partners, and subcontractors; handle claims, disputes, changes, and clarifications in a timely manner.
- Report monthly on safety, quality, construction progress, budget consumption, and milestones.
- Execute smooth handover to the commissioning manager and support commissioning as needed.
- Develop competitiveness by supporting proposals, projects, or enforcing optimizations on-site.
- Demonstrate leadership, develop and train new talent, and assess site team performance.
- Plan mobilization of construction and commissioning staff, ensuring sufficient and qualified personnel.
- Coordinate specialists or vendor representatives for timely execution of their work; capitalize on construction learnings.
- Promote site services in North America, including revamping, RFI coordination, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Mobilize resources (including overseas) for service execution and support secondment processes (visa, arrival, etc.).
- Support estimate and invoicing; coordinate reporting for each site (monthly light report).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Civil or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in E&C site construction activities, including Civil, Structure, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Flat Bottom Tank, and Pre-commissioning works.
- 5+ years of experience in site safety and quality.
- Extensive knowledge of sub-contracting management, budgeting, scheduling, and progress tracking.
- Basic knowledge of engineering across all disciplines and processes.
- 100% travel required (assigned to construction sites).
- Valid employment authorization in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship now or in the future.
