Senior Connector Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD proposals
• Prepare DFMEAs
• Select materials, manage FEA, and make design changes, drawings, and stack-ups
• Support various manufacturing plants
• Develop service manuals
• Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) with prototyping

Skills

• Experience with connection system product development
• Proficiency in CATIA, Solidworks, or UG
• Knowledge of part design for progressive die and injection molding
• Experience with successful launch of at least 1 or 2 connector products
• Ability to perform or support customer and internal drawing releases
• Self-motivated communication skills
• Experience working within a diverse global team
• Leadership experience in managing a team of designers and lab technicians
• Experience following APQP processes for project documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with connection system product development, including design attributes and industry standards and specifications
• Experience using CATIA, Solidworks, or UG
• Knowledge of part design for progressive die and injection molding
• Experience with successful launch of at least 1 or 2 connector products
• Ability to perform or support customer and internal drawing releases
• Self-motivated communication skills
• Experience working within a diverse global team
• Leadership experience in managing a team of designers and lab technicians
• Experience following APQP processes for project documentation
