Responsibilities
- Create 3D CAD proposals
- Prepare DFMEAs
- Select materials, manage FEA, and make design changes, drawings, and stack-ups
- Support various manufacturing plants
- Develop service manuals
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) with prototyping
Skills
- Experience with connection system product development
- Proficiency in CATIA, Solidworks, or UG
- Knowledge of part design for progressive die and injection molding
- Experience with successful launch of at least 1 or 2 connector products
- Ability to perform or support customer and internal drawing releases
- Self-motivated communication skills
- Experience working within a diverse global team
- Leadership experience in managing a team of designers and lab technicians
- Experience following APQP processes for project documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience with connection system product development, including design attributes and industry standards and specifications
- Experience using CATIA, Solidworks, or UG
- Knowledge of part design for progressive die and injection molding
- Experience with successful launch of at least 1 or 2 connector products
- Ability to perform or support customer and internal drawing releases
- Self-motivated communication skills
- Experience working within a diverse global team
- Leadership experience in managing a team of designers and lab technicians
- Experience following APQP processes for project documentation
