Responsibilities
- Oversee Configuration Management (CM) activities for all program artifacts, including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting.
- Implement and manage CM plans to ensure compliance and integrity of design baselines.
- Convene and support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), document approved changes, and track Change Requests.
- Support engineering assessments and maintain documentation required for audits such as Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) and Functional Configuration Audits (FCA).
- Track and manage data deliverables, discrepancies, and problem reports.
- Collaborate with program management, systems engineers, and quality managers within an integrated product team environment.
- Provide guidance on CM plans for software, hardware, and IT systems.
- Maintain CM libraries and repositories, including software licensing, packaging, and delivery.
- Audit IT system configurations and manage baselines, updates, and releases.
- Prepare for and support major reviews, audits, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
- Document findings, action items, and resolutions from assessments and reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
- Preferred CM experience within the DoD environment.
- Experience performing hardware and software configuration audits.
- Experience performing the technical administrative activities necessary to manage CM tools for inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media labeling.
- Experience producing release notes and CM reports.
- Understanding of the configuration change control process, the role of the CCB, and change control documentation.
- Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environments.
- Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Ability to enter and manipulate data in a database (i.e. Lifecycle Management Process, Microsoft Access, SharePoint).
Preferred
- Technical Skills in Configuration identification, change control, and status accounting.
- Experience performing CCB support and change management.
- Experience performing PCA/FCA support.
- Experience developing briefings for management.
- Experience understanding all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Experience using Microsoft Access and SharePoint administration/support.
Benefits
The annual salary range: $120k - $130k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.
