About the role
DCS is searching for a performance-driven Senior Configuration Management Specialist to support US Army programs. A focus on either configurations management, logistics, engineering, technical support and/or management of advanced networks for military vehicles and equipment. This position will be supporting multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.
- Develops configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements.
- To participate in design reviews, audits, scheduling, budgeting, etc.
- Identifies requirements and participates in the development and implementation of computer-based configuration/data management systems and related support.
- Provide configuration management planning.
- Describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
- Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a configuration management specialist within the DOD environment.
- A BA/BS from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Computer Science, or 1 academic year at an accredited college or university in an accredited preferred degree related post-secondary program for 1 year of experience.
- 5 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
