Senior Configuration Management Analyst

About the role

The Senior Configuration Management Analyst position is within Leidos Defense Systems, a division that provides engineering, scientific, and IT solutions across various sectors including defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields. This role involves product design changes, ensuring configuration identification, and managing configuration and data processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
• Develop solutions to complex technical issues impacting multiple areas or disciplines.
• Create/review contents of CDRLs, SDRLs, item records, change records, and other PLM system items.
• Execute Configuration and Data Management processes and controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Write and maintain documents such as CM corporate policies, Configuration Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, program Access Control lists, desktop instructions, CM work instructions, and audit forms.
• Oversee CM team members regarding solution design, process, or approaches.
• Support tasks in a dynamic environment, collaborating with CM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other teams, as well as customers and external contacts.
• Work on-site for a minimum of 4+ days per week.

Requirements

• A 4-year degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional education/training may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.
• Detailed knowledge of technical domains and the ability to solve complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of configuration change management principles and record types.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, etc.
• Knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
• Proficiency in CAD software like CREO, Solidworks, and PDM systems like Windchill, Solidworks PDM Pro.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio preferred) and Adobe PDF editing software.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Preference given to candidates with experience and/or working knowledge with NDIA CDM, CMII, or other Configuration Management/Data Management certifications.
