Senior Compliance & Certification Engineer
for section headings. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose.
We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc.
We need to preserve all substantive info. Remove boilerplate like EEO etc. The text includes diversity statement; that is not boilerplate? It's about inclusion; maybe keep as part of "Work Environment" or separate? It's not EEO boilerplate but it's a statement about diversity. Could keep as a paragraph under Work Environment or separate section? The instruction: remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. Diversity statement might be considered EEO? It's about equal opportunities; likely considered EEO boilerplate. Safer to remove it. Also "Being a global leader..." etc. That's also diversity statement. Remove.
We need to include sections only when posting has real specific content. So we will have sections: About the role? Actually we have "Who We Are" which is company overview; could be "About the role"? But heading must be from list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can map content: "Key Responsibilities We Will Trust You With" -> Responsibilities. "What You Will Be Doing" maybe also responsibilities; could combine. "Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise that matter most for this role:" -> Requirements/Qualifications/Skills. Could split: Requirements (education, experience), Qualifications (knowledge areas), Skills (technical writing etc). But we need to avoid thin sections. Maybe combine into one "Requirements" section covering education, experience, knowledge, skills. Or we could have "Qualifications" and "Skills". The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So maybe have sections: Responsibilities, Requirements, Work Environment, Physical Demands, Key Interactions (maybe under Responsibilities?). But we need to follow allowed headings list. Only those headings allowed. So we can only use those exact headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We cannot add custom headings like "Work Environment". So we must fit content into those headings. If content doesn't fit, we may need to omit? But we must preserve ALL substantive information. So we need to map content to allowed headings. Possibly we can use "About the role" for company overview and role summary. "Responsibilities" for duties. "Requirements" for education/experience. "Qualifications" for knowledge areas. "Skills" for technical writing etc. "Work Environment" and "Physical Demands" not allowed headings, but we could incorporate them into "About the role" or "Responsibilities"? Might be okay to include as paragraphs under "About the role". The instruction: Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It says e.g., meaning those are examples, not exclusive? It says use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Likely they expect only those headings. So we should stick to those.
Thus we need to create sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. Possibly also Benefits, Pay, Schedule if present (they are not). So omit those.
Now we need to extract content.
About the role: Could include "Who We Are" description and maybe high-level role purpose. We'll combine Who We Are and brief role description: "As the Senior Compliance & Certification Engineer, you will act as the company's subject matter expert..." That's more responsibilities. But we can put company overview in About the role.
Responsibilities: list of duties from "Key Responsibilities We Will Trust You With" and "What You Will Be Doing". We'll combine into a bulleted list.
Requirements: education and experience: BS Mechanical Engineering or related field; 7+ years in product compliance, metrology or pressure systems preferred; experience working directly with notified bodies, regulatory agencies, testing laboratories, or certification organizations.
Qualifications: knowledge areas: ability to interpret engineering drawings, pressure calculations, material specifications, and international technical standards; strong technical writing and documentation skills; knowledge of pressure safety code, PED and ASME; knowledge of Weights & Measure certifications, NTEP, Measurement Canada, OIML R117 (Liquid) OIML R137 (Ultrasonic Gas), OIML-CS, INMETRO (Brazilian Requirements); Saudi ARAMCO qualification process; knowledge of ISO 17025 processes around Calibration & Testing; experience with custody transfer measurement systems, flow meter technologies, and applicable industry standards such as API, ISO, OIML, NTEP, PED, and ASME is highly desirable.
Skills: maybe technical writing already covered; but we could separate: Strong technical writing and documentation skills; Ability to interpret engineering drawings, pressure calculations, material specifications, and international technical standards (maybe that's skill). But we already used that in Qualifications. Could move some to Skills. However we need to avoid duplication. Let's assign: Qualifications: knowledge areas (standards, certifications). Skills: technical writing, documentation, ability to interpret drawings, etc. Requirements: education/experience.
We'll decide:
- About the role: company overview (Who We Are) plus maybe brief role purpose.
- Responsibilities: bullet list of duties.
- Requirements: BS Mechanical Engineering or related field; 7+ years in product compliance, metrology or pressure systems preferred; experience working directly with notified bodies, regulatory agencies, testing laboratories, or certification organizations.
- Qualifications: knowledge of pressure safety code, PED and ASME; knowledge of Weights & Measure certifications (NTEP, Measurement Canada, OIML R117, OIML R137, OIML-CS, INMETRO); Saudi ARAMCO qualification process; knowledge of ISO 17025 processes around Calibration & Testing.
- Skills: ability to interpret engineering drawings, pressure calculations, material specifications, and international technical standards; strong technical writing and documentation skills; experience with custody transfer measurement systems, flow meter technologies, and applicable industry standards such as API, ISO, OIML, NTEP, PED, and ASME is highly desirable.
We must preserve all substantive info; ensure we didn't drop any. Let's check original text for any other details: "Lead cross-functional certification projects involving engineering, operations, quality, sourcing, and external certification agencies. Manage certification schedules and deliverables to support product launch timelines and customer requirements. Serve as administrator for PED, CRN and pressure equipment compliance activities. Support ASME pressure vessel and PED pressure-containing equipment reviews. Maintain technical files, calculations and certification packages. Support legal metrology approvals, including but not limited to NTEP, Measurement Canada OIML, NMI Australia, MID (EU Measurement Equipment Directive) and INMETRO (Brazilian), others as required. Support hazardous location electrical safety certifications as required, includes working with department Electrical Engineer. Support and maintain ISO 17025 accreditation activities for the FRTC Flow Laboratory. Support witness testing, uncertainty analysis, calibration methods and audits. Update existing or create new product compliance training materials for sales, engineering and manufacturing personnel on an ongoing basis."
Also "Key Interactions" list: internal and external interactions. We need to preserve that. Where to put? Could be under Responsibilities as part of duties, or maybe under About the role? Probably under Responsibilities as part of role. We'll add bullet points for interactions.
Also "Work Environment" and "Physical Demands" content: we need to preserve. Since we don't have headings for them, we could incorporate into About the role as a paragraph after company overview. Or maybe under Responsibilities? Better to add a short paragraph under About the role describing work environment and physical demands. That preserves info.
Also the diversity statement we decided to remove as EEO boilerplate.
Now produce HTML fragment with headings and - for lists,
for prose.
We need to ensure we don't include any extra text outside HTML.
Let's craft.
First, About the role:
About the role
then containing company overview and work environment/physical demands.
Company overview: "Guidant Measurement delivers high-accuracy measurement solutions for the global energy industry. Built on the legacy of trusted brands Smith Meter®, INVALCO®, and Sening®, our technologies support custody transfer, terminal automation, and fluid measurement across production, transportation, and storage operations. From flow meters and electronic measurement platforms to integrated terminal systems, Guidant solutions help customers operate safely, efficiently, and with confidence in the accuracy of every transaction. With a global network of engineering, manufacturing, and service expertise, Guidant partners with operators around the world to solve complex measurement challenges and support the evolving energy landscape."
Then role purpose maybe: "As the Senior Compliance & Certification Engineer, you will act as the company's subject matter expert and primary point of contact for global product compliance, certification, legal metrology, and pressure safety requirements." But that is more responsibility; we could keep it in Responsibilities. To avoid duplication, maybe keep it in About the role as a brief description. But we already have responsibilities list; we can keep a short sentence.
Then work environment: "Spends approximately 90% of the time in an office environment. Remaining 10% of time will be in FRTC (Flow Research and Test Center), or customer work sites, such as load racks, pipeline control centers. Note: These work sites tend to be noisy and subject to weather conditions." Physical demands: "Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Some potential exposure to possible shop hazards when visiting the shop/field environment that includes high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic."
Combine into paragraph.
Now Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
then with items.
List items from responsibilities and key interactions.
We need to include all bullet points.
Let's enumerate:
- Act as the company's subject matter expert and primary point of contact for global product compliance, certification, legal metrology, and pressure safety requirements.
- Develop and execute certification strategies for product introductions and product modifications.
- Identify compliance risks early in the product development process and drive corrective actions across engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams.
- Serve as technical authority of Guidant Measurement for Certification and Compliance of our products with respect to Pressure Safety and Weights & Measures (Legal Metrology).
