About the role
The Senior Communications Specialist will lead high-impact communication initiatives, advise leaders and cross-functional partners, and develop compelling content that supports organizational priorities, culture, and brand reputation.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of enterprise communication initiatives supporting organizational priorities, cultural programs, leadership visibility, and business transformation.
- Serve as a senior communications advisor to leaders and cross-functional partners on messaging strategy, tone, and communication approach.
- Draft, edit, and deliver high-visibility communications including leadership messages, corporate announcements, organizational updates, talking points, scripts, FAQs, briefs, and campaign content.
- Manage all corporate social media channels including Meta and LinkedIn and create 3-4 pieces of content per week to support Wrench Group growth goals including followers, engagement and to enhance Wrench Group’s reputation with both consumers and candidates.
- Translate complex business topics into clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate communication.
- Support public relations efforts in partnership with agency resources, ensuring alignment with brand standards and leadership messaging.
- Independently manage end-to-end communication projects—from intake and planning through execution and evaluation.
- Partner closely with HR, Operations, IT, Marketing, and executive leadership to ensure consistent, timely, and effective communication.
- Support communications for major initiatives including organizational change, enterprise programs, crisis response, and executive engagement.
- Monitor engagement, sentiment, and performance metrics to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
- Prepare regular insights and reports on communication impact, trends, and opportunities.
- Stay current on best practices in corporate communications, internal communications, PR, and digital engagement.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field (corporate and/or agency environment preferred).
- Proven success leading complex, high-visibility communication initiatives.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive-level or enterprise communications.
- Strong editorial judgment with the ability to simplify and clarify complex information.
- Experience developing content for internal platforms, digital channels, and/or social media.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator who can collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority.
- Experience using communication metrics to assess performance and improve engagement.
