Overview

The Senior Communications Specialist serves as a strategic communications partner for assigned beats, supports the development and execution of integrated communication strategies, and leads high-impact initiatives that connect internal and external communications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic communications partner for assigned beats (Sustainability/ESG; Community Affairs; Earnings and IR; Legal; IT; EHS; Sourcing; and Facilities)
  • Build trusted relationships with internal partners and provide counsel on messaging, planning, and timing
  • Support the development and lead the execution of integrated communication strategies that align internal and external messaging with organizational priorities, including the Sustainability Report and Fuller Impact
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver cohesive communication across internal and external platforms
  • Surface and pitch story ideas that highlight business progress, culture, innovation, and people
  • Create clear, engaging, and high-quality content for internal and external audiences
  • Use analytics to measure content performance and engagement, applying insights to strengthen storytelling and influence future planning
  • Develop and share best practices, templates, and toolkits to promote consistency in tone, branding, and communication quality
  • Establish regular touchpoints with key partners to stay ahead of upcoming priorities, milestones, and events, positioning Communications as a proactive and strategic business partner

Requirements

  • English language fluency
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in English, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or a closely related field
  • Experience developing and executing enterprise-level communications or stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within budget and timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and Canva

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • Proficiency in a second language (Chinese, Spanish, German, or Portuguese) is a plus
  • Experience supporting global initiatives, and working across multiple global regions and cultures
  • Proficiency in video editing software
  • Able to quickly comprehend direction on strategic and highly visible projects
  • Excellent listener, able to articulate a partner’s needs and provide strategic solutions
  • Strategic and big-idea thinker with the ability to enhance communication efforts

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $95,000 - $125,000. In addition to your salary, H.B.
