About the role
Our Building Automation Solutions Senior Commissioning Engineers support a team of installation specialists, commissioning technicians and project managers responsible for new construction, migration and owner directed building automation system projects. As a Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the technical execution of projects, along with serving as a technical liaison for project managers, ensuring successful project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Support a team of installation specialists, commissioning technicians and project managers
- Assist field team with programing, networking, integration, commissioning and graphic development
- Develop network and integration plans
- Attend engineering to operations turnover meetings; identify gaps in submittal documents
- Assist project manager in development of RFIs
- Review third party equipment submittals, wiring requirements and identify compatibility issues
- Maintain customer specific site standards
- Review sequence of operations as compared to system points for conformity
- Direct onsite electrical subcontractors; confirm that installation practices meet project specifications
- Review existing site conditions and impact on scope of work
- Field identify location of BMS sensors, components and control panels
- Identify change order opportunities through onsite review of supplied equipment, monitoring RFI logs and bulletins
- Attend MEP coordination and foreman meetings
- Coordinate project close-out document mark-ups for as-built development
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years experience with Siemens HVAC System Automation/Building Automation Controls including knowledge of design, startup, programming, integration, documentation, and commissioning
- Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams; knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel 5%
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED required
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years experience with Siemens HVAC System Automation/Building Automation Controls including knowledge of design, startup, programming, integration, documentation, and commissioning
- Experience supporting the design, implementation, integration, startup, or commissioning of complex building automation, HVAC controls, or energy management systems
- Bachelor's degree
Pay
The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
