Senior Commissioning Technician - Building Automation Systems

About the role

This role supports our Baltimore branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Eastern Shore area. As a Commissioning Technician, you will participate in the estimating, tracking, start-up, and commissioning of projects and serve as the customer interface for all technical requirements of assigned projects. You will provide expertise and knowledge throughout the system or service project lifecycle on customer sites, contributing to efficient project execution, satisfied clients, and optimized long-term performance of systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Eastern Shore Service Team in delivering exceptional customer service and operational performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) activities to ensure contractual commitments are met.
  • Develop accurate and timely service quotations for repairs, upgrades, and customer requests.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and completion of service projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Maintain accountability for a service contract portfolio valued at up to $1.2 million.
  • Partner with customers to understand their needs and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with technicians, operations teams, and sales partners to drive successful service delivery.
  • Monitor contract performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support business growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens processes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Support financial performance by managing contract profitability, forecasting, and project execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Building Automation Systems.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment; working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
  • Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Building Automation Systems (preferred).
  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents (preferred).
  • Associate or bachelor's degree (preferred).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $77,910 - $133,560. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
