Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney
Our client is a well established, multi-office law firm with a national commercial litigation practice built over nearly five decades. The firm serves institutional clients across a range of industries, including financial services, real estate, manufacturing, insurance, and hospitality, handling matters that span complex litigation, corporate transactions, and creditor and bankruptcy work.
About the role
This is an opportunity to step into a true leadership role rather than simply carry a caseload. The attorney selected for this position will own an entire state practice within the firm's creditors' rights group, meaning direct P&L visibility, real input into staffing and strategy, and the autonomy to run the practice as their own book of business while drawing on the infrastructure, referral network, and institutional client relationships of an established multistate platform.
Compensation is structured to reward origination and practice growth, and the firm has a track record of promoting practice leaders into firm-wide leadership and shareholder positions.
Responsibilities
- Direct litigation strategy on behalf of institutional clients, including banks, servicers, or other regulated lenders
- Supervise a team of attorneys and support staff, managing caseloads, delegating effectively, and maintaining service standards across a full state practice
- Take ownership of practice performance, staffing decisions, and client relationships
Requirements
- Active law license in good standing in the relevant state, with eligibility for admission in additional states within the firm's footprint as needed
- Substantial experience in creditors' rights, commercial collections, foreclosure, or related bankruptcy and insolvency work, ideally gained at a firm serving institutional or financial services clients across multiple states
- Demonstrated experience directing litigation strategy on behalf of institutional clients
- Prior experience supervising a team of attorneys and support staff
- Existing book of business or strong referral relationships in the creditors' rights space strongly preferred
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with comfort appearing before courts at all levels within the relevant jurisdiction
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership of practice performance
Pay
$180,000 - $210,000 per year
