Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager within the Commercial Banking Group to cover the investment real estate segment for companies with portfolios ranging from $25 million to $2 billion. This role requires expertise in commercial real estate lending, credit risk evaluation, market dynamics, financial analysis, and risk management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in financial research, underwriting, and structuring of highly complex private banking, consumer, and mortgage relationships within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management.
  • Review and research business financial statements and tax returns, requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead the Commercial Banking Portfolio Management team to meet project deliverables while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects and teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience underwriting Investor Real Estate clients.
  • Strong Investor Real Estate lending credit analysis skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with commercial, owner-occupied real estate lending, including documentation, due diligence, and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Credit underwriting experience in Commercial Middle Market/Mid-Corp credit or specialty group relationship portfolio credit.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to spread, analyze, and perform in-depth commercial financial statement analysis.
  • Strong risk management and compliance skills.
  • Ability to understand and review loan documentation.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, and independent problem-solving.
  • Experience working in a high-paced environment with strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience working with internal partners both in person and remotely.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • This position does not support Visa Sponsorship.
  • Hybrid work schedule.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements.

Pay

$100,000.00 - $196,000.00 base pay range. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
