About the role
The Senior Commercial Banker I at National Bank of Commerce is responsible for managing a high-value commercial loan portfolio, driving growth, deepening client relationships, and safeguarding credit quality. This role involves structuring credit, assessing financial strength, and delivering tailored lending solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-value commercial loan portfolio
- Drive growth and deepen client relationships
- Identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell products that support clients' broader financial needs
- Contribute to committee work, operational planning, and community engagement
- Expand the bank's presence by cultivating new relationships and strengthening existing ones
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, positive client relationships
- Able to gather financial and business information and perform analyses to support credit decisions
- Broad understanding of commercial lending techniques and practices
- Familiarity with NBC’s loan policies and credit culture, as well as products and services
- Able to establish credibility and effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Motivated to grow a network of referral sources and generate new business opportunities
- Strong computer skills and experience with business software
- Adherence to all bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations

- Full-time annualized starting salary range of $154,000 to $231,000, contingent on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law
