About the role
The Senior Commercial Banker is a senior relationship manager who sources, manages, and grows portfolios of complex commercial loans and corporate accounts. They advise businesses on financing, analyze credit risk, and cross-sell cash management and treasury services.
Responsibilities
- Use your expert financial acumen to provide suggestions and solutions to our clients and prospective customers while focusing on the client’s financial goals.
- Work with our internal teams, including but not limited to Treasury and Credit Underwriting, to determine the creditworthiness of applicants and potential borrowers.
- Originate (including negotiation with client, loan approval, legal documentation and closing) the loan when deemed applicants are creditworthy.
- Demonstrate strong customer service through attentiveness, listening and connecting with customers, and processing transactions quickly and accurately while providing a positive banking environment.
- Cultivate prospects through client referrals, networking, social media, sales calls, and participation in professional organizations, social contacts, and relationships built in the community.
- Manage, maintain, and review client portfolios as necessary to monitor risk and success.
- Assemble financial information and coordinate the generation of complete loan packages for approval presentation.
- Act in accordance with all required banking and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Expert-level knowledge of credit underwriting, financial modeling, and CRM/banking software (e.g., Salesforce, nCino).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or a related field preferred.
- This position requires 8+ years of commercial lending experience within CRE, C&I, community, energy, or middle-market sectors.
