Senior Cloud Engineer IS - Hybrid

About the role

Senior Cloud Engineer in Enterprise Information Services (IS) – Hybrid Cloud Service Engineers work in partnership with developers, testers, and program managers (typically early in the development process) to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, cloud-based services offered to IS and non-IS caregivers. Their technical skills are on par with their Development, Test, and Program Management counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, cloud-based services in Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS).
• Configure and manage Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute.
• Design and operationally support complex enterprise network architectures using Azure Hub-and-Spoke networking.
• Monitor, alert, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Experience in problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience configuring and managing Azure networking components (VNets, subnets, private endpoints, ExpressRoute).
• Senior-level experience designing, engineering, operating, and administering Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) solutions.
• Minimum of several years of hands-on Azure Hub-and-Spoke networking experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Creating and managing server images with Packer.
• Configuring Desired State Configuration (DSC) using AWX.
• Implementing security controls such as CIS and NIST.
• Azure DevOps and ServiceNow experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, day shift.
