Senior Cloud Engineer IS - Hybrid
About the role
Senior Cloud Engineers at IS - Hybrid Cloud Service Engineers work in partnership with developers, testers, and program managers to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, cloud-based services offered to IS and non-IS caregivers. Their technical skills are on par with their Development, Test, and Program Management counterparts.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, operate, and administer Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) solutions, including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Configure and manage Azure networking components, including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute.
- Implement, manage, and enforce Azure Policy in complex enterprise environments.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure (IaC) using Terraform and Azure CLI tools.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive runbook library through scripting with common automation frameworks.
- Manage and troubleshoot enterprise server operating systems in both VMware and Hyper-V environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot enterprise server operating systems.
- Support hybrid environments subject to compliance and regulatory requirements (PHI/PII).
- Support an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents outside normal business hours.
- Communicate effectively with groups of teams and lead technical conversations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of related experience.
- Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions.
- Experience in problem-solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in configuring and managing Azure networking components, including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute.
- Hands-on experience implementing, managing, and enforcing Azure Policy in complex enterprise environments.
- Proficient in scripting with common automation frameworks to develop and maintain a comprehensive runbook library.
- Hands-on experience of managing and troubleshooting enterprise server operating systems.
- Expertise in securing and supporting hybrid environments subject to compliance and regulatory requirements (PHI/PII).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create technical presentations/documents.
- Basic project management skills.

This role works Hybrid and is open to candidates residing in: Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon, California. Within 65 miles of Lubbock, Plainview or Levelland, TX, and within 65 miles of Hobbs, New Mexico.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $See Posting - $See Posting. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
