Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Entarian is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the ALTESS commercial cloud services infrastructure. ALTESS provides managed cloud services across public clouds, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and private clouds.

Responsibilities

• Migrate on-premises applications to the cloud
• Manage and optimize cloud environments
• Implement and maintain security protocols including IPSEC/VPN and Border Gateway Protocol
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or AWS CodeDeploy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent Information Assurance [IA] certification)
• Computing environment certification (e.g., MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Computer Science or IT
• Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience

Qualifications

• Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN and other secure transport technologies
• Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud
• Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Puppet, Chef)
• Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git
• Experience with DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline experience

Salary range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00
