Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Entarian is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the ALTESS commercial cloud services infrastructure. ALTESS provides managed cloud services across public clouds (Azure, AWS), and private clouds.

Responsibilities

• Migrate on-premises applications to the cloud
• Manage and maintain secure transport technologies like IPSEC/VPN and Border Gateway Protocol
• Understand and manage network, storage, server, and application technologies
• Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.
• Work with code repositories tools like Git
• Implement and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or AWS CodeDeploy
• Ensure compliance with DoD STIGs and IAVM
• Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IA cert)
• Computing environment certification (e.g. MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Computer Science or IT
• Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages
• Working knowledge of code repositories tools
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IAVM
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Benefits

Salary range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00
