About the role

The Senior Cloud Engineer designs, implements, and manages cloud infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability, while automating deployment through infrastructure as code.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services, including selecting appropriate cloud services, creating architecture diagrams, and developing automation scripts.
- Deploy new applications to the cloud and migrate existing applications to modern cloud services.
- Monitor the performance of cloud-based systems and optimize resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and high availability.
- Design, implement, and support monitoring and observability solutions for cloud-based resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise and participate in responding to outages.
- Support the design and architecture of new solutions, such as applications, networking, and systems, or re-design to enhance current ones.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to protect data and applications from unauthorized access and security threats.
- Document the architecture of the environment, train other team members, and create standard operating procedures for the team and other IT groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Software/Network Engineering, Computer and Information Science, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge and experience documenting infrastructure and setting standards and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI), Cloud Strategy, Design, Architecture, and Migration.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced knowledge and experience troubleshooting Line-of-Business applications, Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Exhibits excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation skills; collaborates effectively to facilitate progressive change; maintains a strong quality and results orientation; and implements process improvement changes with leadership direction.
Pay
The anticipated pay range for this position is $105,322.00 to $131,652.00 annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
