About the roleAs our Sr. Cloud Database Engineer, you'll take end-to-end ownership of our cloud-native database platforms, with a primary focus on AWS. This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role — perfect for someone who identifies what needs to be built, makes sound technical calls, and delivers without needing a roadmap handed to them. What you'll own:Design, deployment, and management of AWS infrastructure (RDS Oracle, Aurora PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, Lambda, Kafka, DMS, EC2, and more)Driving infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD automation to streamline how we scalePerformance tuning and optimization across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DocumentDB environmentsPartnering across Infrastructure, Network, Integration, and Security teams on migrations to AWS and SnowflakeBuilding the training curriculum and certification matrix for our Cloud Operations Center of ExcellenceChampioning a culture of data-driven decisions, accountability, and collaboration What you bring:8+ years of experience in database administration, cloud administration, and DevOpsStrong hands-on expertise with AWS and Snowflake, ETL tools (Fivetran, HVR), and KafkaA deep understanding of database security — role-based access, encryption, auditing, and threat/vulnerability managementA collaborative mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (AWS/database certifications a plus!)
