About the role

As the Senior Client Account Manager, you will develop long-term, profitable business relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts. You will act as the internal specialist for these accounts, sharing necessary information to develop account strategy and value propositions with cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with Black & Veatch’s offered solutions to address clients' complex challenges and work closely with sales and marketing teams to position Black & Veatch effectively in the marketplace. This role involves strengthening overall client engagement and bringing the voice of the client internally to improve long-term client loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagement activities from identification and opportunity creation to multi-solution business capture.
  • Maintain and update the Client Relationship Management tool to ensure accurate tracking and management of client relationships.
  • Develop Account Strategy and Value Propositions with account team members to address client issues and build long-term, profitable business opportunities.
  • Generate and qualify sales and marketing leads.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Marketing and Strategy to proactively improve Black & Veatch’s reputation and relevance as an innovative thought leader.
  • Ensure overall client satisfaction and conduct client satisfaction surveys.
  • Understand deal details, including margins, risks, terms & conditions, etc.
  • Develop deep industry expertise and strategic plans for new business growth.
  • Partner with the Client Segment Director to develop and execute long-term growth and profitability plans.
  • Engage regularly with the Black & Veatch Leadership Team on complex, multi-dimensional sales matters and influence decisions related to sales direction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a technical or business focus. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be accepted.
  • Typically 15-20 years of experience within the EPC industry, including 10 years in sales or project execution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing strategic sales plans.
  • History of successful pursuits with complex buying processes and multiple decision-makers.
  • Firm understanding of competition and differentiators.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and convert technical information into easily understandable content.
  • B2B sales experience.
  • Existing client relationships and experience selling to large oil and gas companies, energy companies, or project developers (preferred).
  • Experience using Salesforce is preferred.
