About the role
This position will report to the Central Division Power Market Lead, overseeing large client accounts in the Power Market. Key responsibilities include understanding regulatory and economic drivers, identifying project opportunities, positioning, pursuing, winning, and delivering projects. Significant strategy and business development experience is required, along with operational management experience.
Responsibilities
- Regularly meet with client decision-makers to pre-position for operations-maintenance and capital expenditure programs.
- Engage as a program/project manager, project manager, or technical subject matter expert to drive efficient delivery and exceed client expectations.
- Innovate and present technical white papers.
- Weekly updates to the Account Plan, Scorecard, and CRM for pursuit activities.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Experience in environmental planning and permitting, environmental restoration, geotechnical and civil design, and construction services.
- Matrixed work environment experience, including interactions with business development and operations teams.
- Technical expertise to assist in proposal writing and pricing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business acumen.
- Dedication to safety and quality.
Qualifications
- A minimum of fifteen years' experience in an environmental and engineering consulting firm or related professional service business.
- A minimum of ten years of managing a business strategy and development function for a business of 100+ professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a 10+% organic CAGR through collaboration with market leads and mentoring of seller/doers.
- Strong understanding of technical terms and concepts, and ability to align and gain credibility with clients, technical professionals, and operational leadership.
- Past successful work experience utilizing a CRM, sales funnel, and client account plans.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating current market trends against existing capabilities and determining points of entry and tactical plans to grow market share.

Pay
The expected salary range for the position is $138,002 - $230,302. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Travel may be required up to 30% for client and project meetings throughout the west.
