Senior Class Action Attorney

Responsibilities

  • Defend employers in employment litigation matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour disputes
  • Manage complex class action litigation from strategy through resolution
  • Draft discovery requests and responses, initial pleadings, dispositive motions, and agency position statements
  • Prepare and argue motions with strong written and oral advocacy
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Advise clients on workplace policies and day-to-day employment law issues
  • Collaborate with multiple partners and litigation teams on a variety of matters through the firm's free-market case assignment system
  • Manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional client service and legal work product

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of employment litigation and class action experience
  • Much significant experience handling employment-related class action matters
  • Experience defending employers in disputes involving discrimination, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour claims
  • Ability to draft discovery, pleadings, dispositive motions, and agency position statements with persuasive advocacy
  • Experience taking and defending depositions and arguing motions
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Active bar admission in the state of practice
  • Self-starter who works independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Experience advising clients on workplace policies is a plus
