Senior Claims Adjuster

State Compensation Insurance Fund · Humboldt, IA · 4 wk ago
Full-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings

for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. Remove boilerplate etc. We need to parse the posting for substantive content. Let's extract: - About the role: maybe from "Job Description And Duties" and "In This Role You Will:" etc. Also department info. - Responsibilities: list from "In This Role You Will:" bullet points. - Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum qualifications? Not explicitly listed but we have: "If you have less than 4 years of workers' compensation claims adjusting experience, please see posting JC-533071 (Eureka) for openings at the Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster level." Also "If you have a bachelor’s degree, please attach a copy with your application (transcripts with a conferral date is acceptable)." Also "All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included..." Not specific. - Skills: maybe not explicit. - Benefits: Not explicit except maybe "Special Requirements Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary in exchange for leave credits." That's a special requirement, not benefit. Also "We recognize and reward high performance yet value a healthy work/life balance." Might be benefit but vague. - Pay: Salary range: "$6,646.00 - $8,324.00". Also note about new hires min salary. So we have pay. - Schedule: Not explicit; maybe "Permanent, Full Time". That's schedule type. Could include Schedule section with "Permanent, Full Time". Also "Telework" indicated. - Location: "Work Location: Humboldt County Telework: Telework". Could be part of About the role or separate but not required heading. We need to avoid headings with filler. So we include sections where we have concrete content. Let's decide sections: - About the role: include department description, purpose, maybe work location and telework. - Responsibilities: list from "In This Role You Will:" bullet points. - Requirements: include experience requirement (4+ years workers' comp claims adjusting), bachelor's degree optional but preferred, need to submit STD 678, resume, SOQ. Also mention special requirement PLP 2025. - Pay: salary range. - Schedule: Permanent, Full Time, Telework. - Benefits: maybe not enough concrete; we have "We recognize and reward high performance yet value a healthy work/life balance." That's vague but could be considered benefit. However instruction: never create Benefits section unless posting actually states them. It does state "We recognize and reward high performance yet value a healthy work/life balance." That's a statement about benefits/culture. Could include as benefit. But it's vague. Might be okay. However also "We offer exceptional training and career growth". That's a benefit. So we have some benefits: exceptional training and career growth, meaningful difference, etc. So we can include Benefits. - Skills: not explicit; maybe we can omit. We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID etc. We must preserve all substantive information; not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like salary range, experience requirement, degree preference, telework, location, etc. We must remove boilerplate: EEO, drug-free workplace, application instructions, etc. Also remove duplicated lines, navigation, cookie, legal, etc. Also remove "Application Instructions", "How To Apply", "Required Application Package Documents", etc. Also remove "Special Requirements" maybe we keep as part of Requirements? It's about PLP 2025 reducing salary; that's substantive. We'll include in Requirements or maybe a separate note. But we can incorporate into Requirements. We must not include "Final Filing Date", "Who May Apply", etc. Those are application instructions; remove. We must not include links? Possibly we can keep them if they are part of substantive content like department website, YouTube link. The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we should keep the department website and YouTube link as part of About the role maybe. But they are URLs; we can keep as plain text. We must not include markdown code fences; just HTML. Let's craft sections:

About the role

We need to ensure we didn't include any filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. Check for any repeated content: we included department description, responsibilities, requirements, pay, schedule, benefits. We omitted mention of "Working Title: Senior Claims Adjuster Classification: SENIOR WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS ADJUSTER". That's basically job title; we should not repeat job title as heading, but we could include it in About the role maybe as part of description? The instruction: Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it). It didn't say we cannot include it elsewhere. It's okay to include in paragraph. We included "State Fund is California’s largest provider..." etc. Good. We kept the YouTube link and department website. We kept the Special Requirements about PLP 2025. We kept the telework and location. We kept the salary range. We kept the experience requirement. We kept the bachelor's degree preference. We kept the STD 678 and resume requirement. We kept the SOQ requirement (though we removed details of questions). The posting includes specific SOQ questions; we might need to preserve them as substantive? The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. The SOQ questions are substantive. Should we include them? Possibly under Requirements or a separate section. However we have no heading for SOQ; we could include them under Requirements as a note: "If a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required, answer the following questions in no more than two pages: Q1..., Q2..., Q3...". That preserves detail. Let's add that. Also we need to keep the note about "If you have less than 4 years of workers' compensation claims adjusting experience, please see posting JC-533071 (Eureka) for openings at the Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster level." Already included. Also note about "All interviews are expected to be held virtually using Microsoft Teams. Location and interview format subject to change at State Fund’s discretion." That's substantive; we could include under Requirements or maybe a separate section like "Selection Process". But we don't have a heading for that; we could add under Requirements as a bullet. Also note about "Please answer the Statement of Qualifications questions found in the Additional Required Documents section in no more than two pages." Already covered. Also note about "You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement." Not needed. Also note about "Completed STD 678 must include duties performed, start and end dates, and hours worked per week for each position held." That's substantive; include under Requirements. Also note about "If this posting requires an SOQ, Artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, website searches, and third-party reviewers can be helpful in researching responses to the SOQ; however, by submitting your application for this position, you understand and acknowledge the SOQ you submit is your own work, in your own words, and accurately reflects your knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences." That's substantive; include under Requirements. Also note about "Submitting a document that is not your own may be cause for disqualification from the hiring process." Include. Also note about "All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position." Include. We need to be careful not to make the section too long but we must preserve all substantive info. However the instruction also says "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we can combine many of these into Requirements section. Let's craft Requirements section with bullets covering: - Minimum 4 years workers' comp claims adjusting experience (or see lower level posting) - Bachelor’s degree preferred; attach copy/transcripts if you have one - Submit completed STD 678 (must include duties performed, start and end dates, hours worked per week for each position held) and resume - If SOQ required, answer the three questions (list them) in no more than two pages; SOQ must be your own work; AI tools can be used for research but final submission must be your own; submitting non-own work may lead to disqualification - All experience and education relating to Minimum Qualifications must be included to demonstrate you meet them - Interviews
