Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in the successful delivery of civil and structural engineering projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, establish deadlines, identify risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
  • Evaluate project performance and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
  • Develop, review, and negotiate project proposals, budgets, and priced proformas.

Engineering Design & Technical Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Lead the preparation of design concepts, technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare, review, and check engineering calculations and design documents.
  • Cook up design drawings with engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.
  • Calculate construction quantities and prepare quantity estimates.
  • Participate in the inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation of existing structures.
  • Investigate and resolve complex design challenges through field investigations, engineering analysis, and technical evaluations.
  • Perform design reviews and quality assurance checks in accordance with company standards, quality metrics, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with professionals across multiple engineering disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas required.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of progressive civil and/or structural engineering experience.
  • Strong experience in structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Experience managing engineering projects, project teams, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ability to work on Federal projects and meet applicable Federal requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard engineering software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to technical excellence and quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Availability and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with retaining walls, site development, drainage, paving, foundations, and structural steel projects.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Experience with public sector, transportation, marine, waterfront, or Federal projects.
