Senior Civil Engineer, Aviation
About the role
Join EXP’s Aviation Design team based in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX. You’ll work on major airport projects across the United States, leading design efforts in airfield geometry, pavement design, lighting and signage, utility installation and relocation, construction phasing, airport access roads, security facilities, and landside transportation facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts in airfield and landside infrastructure projects
- Prepare contract documents, specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates
- Provide construction administration support
- Assist with aviation group project management and business development
- Lead meetings, mentor team members, and supervise junior staff
- Develop project proposals, technical reports, and client presentations
- Manage task delivery, budgets, and quality control
- Contribute positively to team culture and client relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of related airport design experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on meeting customer requirements
Pay
The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and work location.
