Senior Civil Engineer, Aviation
About the role
Join the Aviation Design team based in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX. Projects will involve major airports across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts in airfield geometry, pavement design, lighting and signage, utility installation and relocation, construction phasing, airport access roads and security facilities, landside transportation facilities.
- Prepare contract documents, specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates.
- Assist with aviation group project management and business development.
- Lead meetings and team members.
- Mentor team members.
- Propose projects.
- Write technical reports, presentations, and communicate with clients.
- Deliver tasks, manage budgets, and ensure quality control.
- Supervise junior team members.
- Contribute positively to team culture and environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years of related airport design experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Proficient with AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills focusing on meeting customer requirements.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
