About the role

Join the Aviation Design team based in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX. Projects will involve major airports across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design efforts in airfield geometry, pavement design, lighting and signage, utility installation and relocation, construction phasing, airport access roads and security facilities, landside transportation facilities.
  • Prepare contract documents, specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates.
  • Assist with aviation group project management and business development.
  • Lead meetings and team members.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Propose projects.
  • Write technical reports, presentations, and communicate with clients.
  • Deliver tasks, manage budgets, and ensure quality control.
  • Supervise junior team members.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 7+ years of related airport design experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or Microstation.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills focusing on meeting customer requirements.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
