Responsibilities
- Perform calculations as a Professional Engineer for structural steel and concrete designs
- Responsible for the project scope of work, budget, schedule, communication of scope changes, and coordinating and exchanging technical information with other project discipline leads
- Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, technical documents, and engineering studies along with developing and maintaining associated site, architectural, concrete, and structural steel drawings
- Cook up and review technical information with clients, inter-company service groups, architects, owners, vendors, and other third parties
- Develop, train, and mentor engineer, drafting, and design personnel in the department
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of AISC, ACI-318, IBC, and ASCE-7
- Working knowledge of 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and STAAD structural modeling and analysis software is preferred
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite required
- Must have good communication and analytical skills
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience with PE or minimum 8 years’ work experience without PE required
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred
