Senior Chemical Sourcing Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to develop, optimize and implement sourcing strategies for regional Base Chemicals Direct Material categories.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative approaches to sourcing arrangements that minimize Total Cost of Ownership and commercial risk to support business competitiveness and sustainability goals.
• Lead supplier selection decision and contract negotiations for new suppliers, give support in make-or-buy decisions.
• Undertake supplier mapping and build sourcing fact base of key suppliers within the category portfolio, to help develop effective supplier relationships.

Requirements

• Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or other science related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Base Commodity Chemicals, commercial, or technical areas
• Leadership skills to effectively manage people, sourcing categories and cross-functional teams
• Proven track record in delivering year over year cost savings
