About the Role

The Senior Buyer role requires a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, with strong knowledge of international procurement and shipping (total cost model). This position requires exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and follow-through skills, along with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support complex electro-mechanical supply chain and inventory management systems.
• Plan inventory levels and locations while executing forecasting and planning programs.
• Identify and implement inventory reduction and cost reduction initiatives.
• Champion material management processes by:
  • Driving daily resolution of on-time delivery issues.
  • Implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Negotiating with suppliers.
  • Communicating delivery challenges and updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience working with an ERP system (Oracle preferred; experience with other ERP systems is also acceptable).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to expedite and proactively resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• KANBAN planning experience is a plus (not required).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience within supply chain and inventory management.
• Hands-on experience with inventory systems such as KANBAN, MRP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and management.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
