About the role
The Senior Buyer/Planner will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials and ensuring timely delivery to meet production needs. This role requires strong negotiation skills and an understanding of global supply chain dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate terms with suppliers for raw materials and components
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and availability
- Manage inventory levels to optimize cost and minimize waste
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Proven ability to manage complex supply chains and negotiate effectively with suppliers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain software
