Senior Buyer (LSNA-PA/NC)
About the role

As a Senior Buyer for Life Sciences North America, you will be responsible for purchasing major capital equipment and materials for mid to large-sized Projects (Projects with a Total Installed Cost of $50M - $1B).
Responsibilities
- Apply functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems while implementing innovative solutions.
- Dedicated lead on projects with accountability for team members and ongoing activities or objectives.
- Leverage your passion and experience as you conduct and coordinate procurement transactions associated with purchasing complex materials/equipment as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
- 8+ years of experience in capital equipment purchasing.
- 2+ years of experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects preferred.
- Willingness to indirectly lead and mentor a team of Procurement professionals.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- A drive to solve complex and challenging problems.
Qualifications

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $98,900.00 to $160,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
