Senior Business Systems Specialist
About the role
As a Senior Business Systems Specialist at Baxter, you will play a critical role that blends business acumen, technical knowledge, and product management expertise. You will define and prioritize product requirements, align with business objectives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role partners with IT system product owners, architects, and developers to define, build, implement, and support business systems.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and operational needs.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Prioritize product backlogs and support roadmap development based on business value and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement business solutions.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate product vision, progress, and key updates.
- Support testing, quality assurance, change management, and successful solution adoption.
- Develop and maintain user, business, and technical documentation, including process flows and system documentation.
- Provide ongoing system support, troubleshoot and resolve issues, manage incidents, and identify root causes to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related field.
- Experience in the medical device field preferred.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of business systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to gather and prioritize requirements and develop product roadmaps.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and release planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of business systems and software lifecycle management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Schedule
This role follows a flexible workplace policy, requiring a minimum of 3 days a week onsite to support collaboration and connection in alignment with Baxter’s Mission.
Pay
The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
