Senior Business Systems Analyst(CRIMS - Charles River MS)
About the role
Nuveen Taxable Fixed Income Technology is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join the front-office technology team within Taxable Fixed Income (TFI). This role will serve as a liaison with front-office stakeholders (Portfolio Managers, Traders, Research, etc.) and, when necessary, the middle office, providing white-glove support and contributing to the change and transformation agenda as a Business Analyst. Responsibilities include creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), maintaining product backlogs, testing, UAT, and rollout activities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirement gathering, and define scope and objectives for each project.
- Lead identification of portions of the organization’s IT platform/infrastructure with the highest potential return for cloud deployment.
- Implement the organization’s global strategies and initiatives to enhance Information Technology plans, operations, and procedures.
- Recommend solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Translate business requirements into application requirements and work with all team members to execute applications successfully.
- Engage client teams and explain moderately complex initiatives in an understandable manner, addressing any hesitations or concerns.
- Estimate costs of various system solutions and prepare project plans to inform decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and assist with ongoing operation, maintenance, and development.
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.
- Review and conduct cost/benefit evaluations of cloud solutions compared to virtual private networks, dedicated hosting, and in-house solutions.
- Determine the technical feasibility of adopting external cloud-based IT platform and infrastructure services within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of relevant experience required; 5+ years preferred.
- Sedentary work.
Skills
- 3+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience.
- Experience with State Street’s OMS – CRIMS (Charles River MS), including setup, configuration, integration, implementation, testing, and support.
- Experience with key CRIMS components: Manager Workbench, Compliance, What-if, Rebalancer, and more.
- Proficiency in SQL, Linux/Unix/Python scripting, and office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with JIRA and ServiceNow.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Fixed Income Technology or Operations; open to candidates with experience in other asset classes on CRIMS.
- Experience with AWS and Python.
- Experience with BQL (Bloomberg Query Language).

Pay
Base pay range: $93,000/year – $122,000/year. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, internal peer salaries, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the compensation package may include participation in performance-linked incentive programs (e.g., annual discretionary incentives, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
