Senior Business Partner, People & Culture
About the role
Funko is seeking a Senior Business Partner, People & Culture to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with 7+ years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience, particularly in employee relations, and 5+ years as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders in creative, entertainment, studio, licensing, consumer products, gaming, media, or similar industries.
Responsibilities
Partner with executive leaders to align People & Culture strategies with business priorities.
Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, organizational effectiveness, and complex employee relations matters.
Lead workforce planning and organizational design initiatives that help teams scale and evolve.
Support change management efforts by driving thoughtful planning, communication, and adoption.
Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition on role design, hiring strategy, and creating exceptional onboarding experiences.
Support the Burbank office while also assisting the San Diego team.
Conduct employee relations investigations and provide practical, compliant guidance to leaders.
Analyze employee engagement, retention, and workforce trends to recommend proactive solutions.
Partner across the People & Culture team to implement programs that strengthen talent, leadership, and culture.
Ensure compliance with California and federal employment laws while balancing business needs with an exceptional employee experience.
Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance.
Demonstrated success influencing leaders and driving organizational effectiveness.
Experience partnering on organizational design, talent strategy, workforce planning, and change management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
Exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to build credibility across all levels of an organization.

Funko offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits and a 401(K) plan with matching contributions from the company. The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $120,000 - $150,000 annually. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location.

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Location
This on-site position is based in Burbank, CA (Monday–Thursday onsite in Burbank, Friday remote). Locals will be considered first. Occasional travel to San Diego, CA and Everett, WA may be required.
