Senior Business Operations Manager
This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units. Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including fuselages, pylons, nacelles, and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of managers and represented employees in business operations.
- Interact across all levels of the organization; effectively communicate to ensure efficient incorporation of manufacturing schedules, implement agreed-upon changes, and navigate difficult situations to productive outcomes.
- Develop KPIs to measure organizational performance.
- Lead the team in developing solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.
- Oversee the organization’s budget and headcount performance.
- Lead process standardization, adherence, and governance for the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of experience in a management position with direct reports.
- 3+ years of experience leading and implementing projects.
- Experience in a production support role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and professional presence to work with executives and customers.
- Background with production systems.
- Knowledge of aircraft products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience in a management role with direct reports, leading and implementing projects in a production-facing environment, with a background in production support.
- Experience and understanding of production systems.
- Strong project management skills.
- Deep understanding of value chain requirements.
- Strong leadership and process skills.

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $120,800 - $185,200
Join Spirit AeroSystems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
