About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager for the Retail Bank’s Product Analytics team. You will help shape a wide range of innovative consumer-facing and platform experiences across the Retail Bank. Your work will directly influence product direction, investment decisions, and the product vision for the Retail Bank.

This is a highly collaborative role in which you will problem-solve alongside partners and leadership in Product, Engineering, Research, Data, Finance, and others. You will be responsible for growing a team of product analysts and contributing to the growing product analytics community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
  • Coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent.
  • Develop and implement new product measurement frameworks and strategies for various digital products; lead product-level data modeling and analytics.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in experimentation. Design and implement experiments across a variety of product experiences, interpret results, and guide the development of advanced analytics tools and models.
  • Manage and sequence delivery of product intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including Product, Tech, and Finance, to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
  • Guide product teams using data and insights, develop hypotheses, and employ rigorous analytical approaches to test them. Define success metrics and surface insights on new opportunities and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis.
  • At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience performing people management.
  • At least 1 year of experience performing project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience in people management.
  • 2+ years of experience in product development.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial modeling.
  • 2+ years of experience in economic forecasting.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management.
  • Previous consulting experience.

Skills

  • Proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving based on analytics.
  • Strong quantitative orientation and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity.

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

  • McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Business Manager
  • New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Business Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
