Senior Business Development Manager, EdTech/GovTech Product Acceleration

About the role

The AWS Product Acceleration (PA) team is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead product-strategy engagements with Chief Product Officers (CPOs) and product leaders of GovTech and EdTech software companies. In this role, you will translate customer roadmap challenges into actionable, AWS-powered plans and drive the change management required to help organizations adopt artificial intelligence (AI) across their product development organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and qualify opportunities that drive mutual growth through product innovation
  • Synthesize market and technology trends into digestible insights for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Proactively research companies to prototype new ideas
  • Lead discovery sessions with CPOs to understand customer needs
  • Align with AWS account teams on positioning Product Acceleration
  • Escalate key risks and secure necessary resources to unblock customer timelines
  • Update pipeline to keep opportunities moving and priorities clear
  • Deliver workshops to help customers turn ideas into working prototypes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
  • Experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field, or PMP certificate

Skills

  • Genuine curiosity about AI and hands-on experience with its implications on development life cycles, use cases, and business growth
  • Sharp business judgment and ability to know where to invest time and resources

Pay

Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

  • USA, NY, New York - 162,700.00 - 220,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Austin - 147,900.00 - 200,100.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington - 147,900.00 - 200,100.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle - 147,900.00 - 200,100.00 USD annually
