About the role

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Plainville, CT. This leadership role involves driving strategic growth, cultivating high-value partnerships, and expanding the company's market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities, targeting high-value industrial, manufacturing, and environmental health & safety clients.
  • Achieve and exceed ambitious annual growth targets for new clients and business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients and partners to support long-term retention and expansion.
  • Cook with project teams and division heads to ensure seamless delivery of client commitments.
  • Analyze market dynamics, track competitors, and apply insights to inform business development strategies.
  • Oversee lead generation, RFQ/RFP submissions, and proposal development to drive business growth.
  • Represent Loureiro at industry associations, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Mentor and guide junior business development staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
  • Parenth Loureiro with leadership to define strategic initiatives and contribute to high-level decision-making.

Requirements

  • Creative and innovative, able to take an out-of-the-box approach to solving business challenges.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled at leading teams, coaching colleagues, and collaborating across functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/business development tools.

Qualifications

  • A BS / BA in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of business development experience, with a proven record of securing major accounts and leading teams.
  • Experience developing business with industrial, manufacturing, or environmental health & safety clients is highly desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with market analysis, competitive research, and strategic planning.
  • Engineering experience is a plus but not required.

Skills

  • BS / BA in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
