About the role

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising. This role is part of the Business Development team and plays a crucial role in developing strategies and building relationships with senior leadership at holding companies. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with global client services and trading teams to cultivate accounts and participate in product roadmap discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a vision and strategy for TTD’s business within the Business Development team.
  • Oversee and build upon relationships with senior leadership at Holding Companies.
  • Work cross-functionally with global client services and trading teams to cultivate accounts.
  • Participate in product road map build out discussions based on client needs with senior leadership, product, and engineering.
  • Take the lead in structuring and negotiating large client spend endeavors and JBPs.
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and revenue teams to constantly optimize efforts relating to company-wide goals.
  • Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding core client business needs.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unrivaled selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Make a positive contribution to The Trade Desk company culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 15-20+ years of experience in digital advertising in outbound sales, preferably in programmatic
  • Outstanding sales leadership experience, with a track record of up-selling and winning net new accounts
  • Experience working with media agencies and brands
  • Experience building longstanding, consultative client relationships
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to manage commercial negotiations
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with C-level clients
  • High EQ, with strong executive presence
  • Proven ability to manage within a matrix environment, and collaborate across multiple departments
  • Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, or other online advertising roles preferred

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $121,700—$223,100 USD. Base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.

Schedule

This role follows a hybrid work model, with in-office expectations Tuesday through Thursday in our NYC office.
