Senior Business Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

This is a hybrid Senior Business Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst role supporting Finance Operations and Shared Services. It sits at the intersection of data analytics, finance, and operations with an emphasis on turning data into actionable business improvements and driving those improvements through execution. The position is highly visible and involves working across multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Extract, validate, organize and analyze data from multiple business systems
• Develop reporting, dashboards and decision-support tools
• Partner with IT to improve data accessibility, quality and usability
• Translate business questions into meaningful analysis and actionable insights
• Help create trusted, consistent sources of information across Finance and Operations
• Analyze financial and operational processes across AP, AR, Billing and Procurement
• Identify process breakdowns, inefficiencies and root causes
• Develop recommendations that improve financial and operational performance
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Shared Services and IT
• Take analysis beyond identifying the problem—help drive the solution
• Support process improvement, systems enhancements and strategic initiatives
• Translate findings into practical recommendations and follow through on implementation
• Help move initiatives from concept through execution and measurable improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years of progressive experience in finance, business analysis, operations, data analytics or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with large datasets, reporting tools and/or data models
• Ability to understand both the financial and operational side of the business
• Experience partnering with technical or IT teams on reporting, integrations or data solutions
• Ability to identify root causes, develop recommendations and drive follow-through
• ERP experience; SAP preferred
• Databricks or similar data-platform exposure is a plus
• Strong Excel and data-analysis capabilities
