Pay
Senior Financial Analyst: Expected salary range of $97,200 to $108,000, varies based on experience.
Financial Analyst: Expected salary range of $78,300 to $87,000, varies based on experience.
Senior Financial Analyst - Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management and control of O&M and capital costs.
- Support accurate planning, reporting, and analysis of operations, including fleet-wide special projects.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting for management on major capital and O&M cost drivers.
- Work with personnel to control and manage costs, forecast performance against goals, plans, and budgets.
- Prepare and review month-end, quarterly, and full-year forecast/reports, including executive reporting packages and monthly financial close packages.
- Lead each monthly financial closing, ensuring proper accounting treatment and adherence to corporate policies.
- Prepare periodic reports on contracted services, overtime, and other areas.
- Develop the long-range financial plan and review/process capital and project request proposals.
- Monitor and report on project spend and perform cost reporting, planning, and tracking.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and analyses, and develop/oversee the work of junior financial analysts.
- Perform complex special projects at management's request.
Financial Analyst - Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end, quarterly, and full-year forecast/reports, including executive reporting packages, financial close packages, and presentations for management and the Board of Directors.
- Ensure capital and EBIT forecasts are properly reflected in planning tools and work with the financial system team to resolve forecasting concerns.
- Assist in preparing various reports and data requests, and respond to ad-hoc requests for internal and external reporting.
- Communicate actual performance compared to budget/plan/goals.
- Bring a financial perspective to daily operations, ensuring proper classification and compliance with policies.
- Liaise with business units to ensure efficient information exchange.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process and assist in updating long-range and budget planning models.
Senior Financial Analyst - Requirements
- 4-year degree in a business-related field with 5 to 8 years of business-related experience and demonstrated success in finance or business operations.
- Effective financial analysis skills and strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to accounting principles, financial metrics, and financial statement relationships.
- Working knowledge of business operations and industry practices.
- Thorough computer-based analytical skills (e.g., Access, Excel, PowerPoint, database management).
Preferred Qualifications: MBA/CPA, expertise in PeopleSoft and financial systems.
Financial Analyst - Requirements
- 4-year degree in a finance-related field with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Analytical understanding of finance and accounting.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Thorough computer-based analytical skills (Microsoft Office).
Preferred Qualifications: MBA/CPA.
